I Know What I’m Supposed To Do, But I Don’t Know How To Do It

The title kind of speaks for itself doesn’t it? We’re supposed to all these things, and have responsibilities, it just depends on how many you decide to take on for yourself.  And there’s been a lot of change in the last couple of years too.  We’re taking on either more or less, or finding ourselves doing things we didn’t think we’d be doing before. I’ve been spending most of time trying to figure out career changes at forty, and trying to write a few books at the same time, hoping even one will be successful.  I try to take stock of life and see how crazy people are now, and what drives them, and I can’t fathom how people get to the point of sheer madness. I think it’s important to find something that doesn’t drive you to stupidity or hate. For me I try to do a lot of things, because I get bored easily, and I try to find things that give some kind of meaning.  That’s it really. Find something, anything. I’m trying to do some things, and enjoy things because there ar...

Politics

I’m finding that people are finding things controversial that didn’t used to be considered that way. In either conducting my own research into politics, or just the daily nightmare of the national media, people try to make things controversial to get people to come over to their side. People themselves either don’t want to do any research into the simplest of topics, or are quick to label everything as “hate speech” so their opponents will have to be shut up. Frankly, we’re supposed to be the freest country in the world, and we can’t even come to terms to calmly and simply have open debate. I’ve never attended rallies, or anything like that, other than the arguments you might get in with family, or people online, I’m not in the political process that much but I’m working on something that should be fairly accepted by both sides of the aisle. I’ve been working on it for awhile, so I hope it does well. I think this is a sign too, people are being agitated, and taking to politics in way...

Busy

I’ve had some problems with my email, and my blog, and I’m back up and running. It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, but I think I still remember how to do this. Ha. I’ve been busy in the last few months. More so than any other time in my life. I’ve invested some money, started a book, worked on some others, and I’m hoping to publish this year too. I’m getting to the point where I’m proud of the things I’m doing, and I’m working on these things I care about for a change.

Change

I was reminded of a couple things the last few days. It’s the day after Christmas, a time when people typically try to put the world to the side and enjoy time with friends and family. I had an awkward phone call with my daughter who lives with her mom, in another state. Made me realize how little they want me to have any part of her life. Also had a stepdaughter that talked to her douchebag abusive “ex” boyfriend, who suddenly called to see if he could get back in the picture, and a shady supervisor praise me in one breath, and then try to embarrass me in another. This all happened in the course of about a week. This is all minor stuff considering the stuff I normally have to deal with. But I wanted to leave you with a Christmas message, that you shouldn’t give up. Because I’m not.
